EYWA Biotech strengthens international presence

EYWA Biotech, co-founded by Victoria Costa Paz and dedicated to transforming mental health care through synthetic biology, is gaining international recognition with recent milestones spanning global startup competitions, accelerators, and prestigious conferences. These achievements highlight the company’s growing influence and reinforce its mission to transform mental health solutions using cutting-edge biomanufacturing technology.
“We’re excited to see EYWA’ vision resonate globally. These opportunities are helping us grow, connect with top-tier investors, and develop groundbreaking solutions for mental health around the world”, said Costa Paz.
The company was recently selected as a semifinalist in the Buenos Aires edition of Meet the Drapers—a globally recognized startup competition and television show led by the Draper family, including legendary Silicon Valley investor Tim Draper. After winning the local pitch round, EYWA now advances to the Americas stage, competing for a coveted spot in the global finals. The competition offers unmatched exposure, mentorship, and the potential for significant funding—previous participants have gone on to raise millions and gain global traction.
“We’re thrilled to move forward in Meet the Drapers”, added the startup’s CEO. “The visibility and network this brings are invaluable as we continue scaling our impact”.
Building on this momentum, EYWA’s success at the Draper House Americas accelerator also earned Costa Paz a full scholarship to attend Draper University—a renowned Silicon Valley startup bootcamp founded by Tim Draper himself.
The university’s “Hero Training Program” is known for shaping the next generation of visionary entrepreneurs through immersive learning, mentorship from seasoned founders, and direct access to investors. Alumni of the program have raised over $350 million and include graduates of elite accelerators like Y Combinator.
“Draper University is a game-changer,” said Victoria. “It’s a powerful opportunity to sharpen EYWA’s strategy, build lasting relationships, and learn from some of the brightest minds in tech and biotech”.
Adding to the list of accomplishments, EYWA Biotech has also been invited to speak at SynBioBeta 2025, one of the world’s leading conferences in synthetic biology, taking place this May in San Jose, California. There, EYWA will present its innovative biomanufacturing platform and share its vision for revolutionizing mental health care through synthetic biology.
At the event, EYWA will present its innovative and sustainable biomanufacturing approach and discuss its vision for revolutionizing mental health solutions. With a growing focus on synthetic biology’s role in health and well-being, this speaking opportunity positions EYWA at the forefront of industry innovation.
“This is a fantastic platform to share EYWA’s mission and connect with leaders and investors in the field,” said Victoria. “We’re excited to showcase our work and contribute to shaping the future of mental health”.
With its growing international presence, EYWA Biotech is emerging as a leader at the intersection of synthetic biology and mental health. From Meet the Drapers to Draper University and SynBioBeta, the company is seizing every opportunity to amplify its mission and accelerate global impact.
“We’re just getting started,” said Costa Paz. “The future is bright—and we’re ready to take EYWA to the next level.”
