EYWA Biotech secures historic second place at RESI Boston
Startups often set clear milestones on their roadmaps, but EYWA, represented by Victoria Costa Paz, reached an unanticipated one at the RESI Boston Conference 2024: securing second place in the Innovator’s Pitch Challenge, out of more than 56 startups.
“This is the first time in 49 editions of RESI Conferences that a Latin American startup has made it to the podium, which makes me really proud to give visibility to science and technology from our continent,” said Costa Paz.
The founder of the startup also added that “our work producing psychedelics for mental health in a sustainable way brings these new treatments into the spotlight, showing there’s an opportunity that our products can fulfill.”
Costa Paz also credited the BIGinBIO program, which helped her craft a pitch that emphasized the most critical aspects of EYWA.
Gregory Mannix, Vice President of International Business Development and General Manager Europe of Life Science Nation, which organizes the RESI Conferences, remarked that “EYWA’s success came from an outstanding pitch and Costa Paz’s exemplary networking, highlighting the potential of psychedelics in mental health treatment during the entire day of activities.”
As a result of this accomplishment, EYWA has earned the opportunity to participate in the next two RESI Conferences in London and San Francisco.
