The recent selection process for BIGinBIO 2024 highlighted the robust positioning of our scale-up program and the invaluable support offered by The Ganesha Lab. With over 120 startups from 11 countries applying for a spot in the 9th Cohort, the breadth of our influence was evident.

Applications streamed in from countries like Chile, Argentina, Uruguay, Brazil, Honduras, Mexico, Peru, Colombia, and even as far as Canada and the United States, affirming The Ganesha Lab’s global reach.

Regarding the process, Catalina Fernández, Program Manager, was very pleased, noting “the growing interest among startups to join our community and their confidence in our ability to equip them with the tools needed to succeed in competitive markets”.

Fernández highlighted the high level of applications this year, demanding a “rigorous selection process to identify those best suited for BIGinBIO2024, while considering the support that we can offer”.

After a meticulous review of the submitted applications, 21 startups progressed to the next level, consisting of interviews with The Ganesha Lab team. After that, 9 advanced further to interviews with the partners of our venture capital firm and to the Selection Pitch, where external international judges evaluated them, providing valuable feedback.
