AQUIT firmly progressing towards expansion
AQUIT, our portfolio startup replacing antibiotics in the preventive treatment of infections in fish, has been chosen as one of the 20 companies to participate in Bright Tide’s inaugural Regenerative Agriculture accelerator program. Bright Tide is a leading environmental consultancy in the United Kingdom.
Daniela Allerbon, CEO of AQUIT, stated that «The Ganesha Lab’s BIGinBIO program provided us with the necessary tools to grow as a company and gain access to specialized accelerators like Bright Tide. This marks a significant stride in our internationalization efforts, so we want to give a recognition to the mentors and the entire team at The Ganesha Lab for their unwavering support.»
Bright Tide’s program is distinctive in its global reach, bringing together 20 companies worldwide and integrating both terrestrial and marine agricultural practices through Regenerative Agriculture. This nature-informed approach to food production can improve soil health, boosting terrestrial/marine biodiversity, and carbon sequestration as well as providing resilient, long-term livelihoods for farmers around the world.
Harry Wright, CEO and founder of Bright Tide, explains that «in the face of such pressing issues as biodiversity loss, climate change, and food insecurity, our commitment to nurturing sustainable practices is more pertinent and urgent than ever.»
This belief in the incredible potential of regenerative farming is shared by the Accelerator’s influential partner organizations, such as Barclays, a prestigious British financial services firm; Cadman Capital Group, reputable venture capital company specializing in aquaculture and sustainability; and Bankers for NetZero, a network of banks that provide financing to companies battling climate change.
The program is structured around three pillars: high-level networking, upskilling, and fostering collaboration between the ventures.
Allerbon emphasized that “we are very enthusiastic to participate in this program, particularly due to its strong focus on regenerative aquaculture. This opportunity not only enables us to create connections with like-minded startups tackling similar challenges but also provides access to international investors. Besides, being based in the United Kingdom, a major market for aquaculture, offers additional advantages”.
Selected startups will engage in a series of activities, including a presentation at the House of Commons in London, an eight-week virtual training program offering technical, advisory, and legal support, and a final event hosted at Barclays’ offices, which will host nearly 150 experts, potential customers, and investors.
