During the last week of September, Boston—renowned as a global hub of innovation—welcomed us for Biotech Week 2024 and the RESI Conference. The experience was nothing short of exceptional.

Together with Camilo Anabalón, Portfolio Manager Life Sciences, and three representatives of our ninth-generation startups, Amplify Dynamics, EYWA Biotech and TELL Toolkit, we confirmed Boston as the epicenter of business development in the health industry.

Throughout a week full of intense meetings and industry insights, we were able to bring the startups in our portfolio closer to market validation, better understand the expectations of U.S. investors and expand key partnerships, which will surely be key to the internationalization of our companies.

Additionally, seeing the three portfolio startups perform confidently within the RESI Conference, and achieve more than 70 meetings with investors and industry-related institutions, ratified that the work we did with them throughout the program took them in the right direction.

For Amplify Dynamics, EYWA, and Tell Toolkit, this week of pitching, networking, and gaining insights from industry leaders has delivered actionable strategies that will propel them forward.

For Sebastian Saldarriaga, CBO of Amplify Dynamics, this experience redefined his entrepreneurial journey, giving him the certainty that biotech is the future and that his company will be a source of inspiration and a constant challenge.

Victoria Costa Paz, CEO of EYWA Biotech, confirmed that passion is not enough to move a company forward, but also knowing who values your product and how to present it, so that they understand the value you can bring to the table.

Raul Echegoyen, particularly appreciated the possibility of meeting with experts from Pfizer Digital Medicine, and the warm introductions he got while in Boston.

For me, Markus Schreyer, this week was a powerful reminder that the key to success lies in collaboration, feedback and constant evolution. Thank you to everyone who made this journey possible.
