On April 1, The Ganesha Lab opened its application process for its scale-up program BIGinBIO  2023, with the mission to internationalize biotech startups and prepare entrepreneurs to navigate the competitive global markets – translating science into good business.

Who can apply? TGL is looking for early-stage Latin American biotech startups with technologies or solutions that have a great potential for impact, a global vision and address the following mega-trends: Healthcare Access, Food Scarcity, Aging Population and Emerging Threats. To be more specific, projects in the areas of BioAgro, BioMedicine, BioFood, Animal Health, Consumers Health, Pharmaceuticals, Diagnostics and Medical Devices.

The Ganesha Lab will select a group of startups to participate in BIGinBIO 2023, who will have access to mentoring, workshops, and individual coaching for three intensive months. For the third consecutive year, the program will culminate with two virtual weeks of Soft-landing US Program, led by international partners through which the startups will have the opportunity to get to know the US market up close.

At the final Pitch, and based on all the work done during the process, The Ganesha Lab will select the startups best prepared to access international markets to participate in the International Market Validation (IMV program), where they will continue the international scaling process in the US, with the support of The Ganesha Lab partners and its international networks.

This year, all the selected startups will receive an investment of up to US$ 160.000. This capital enables the companies to fully focus on BIGinBIO Program, thus accelerate their progress significantly.

The program is just the beginning, as all the selected startups will have access to our community and therefore to all the benefits that this entails, such as continuous support for a minimum of 3 years post-program in relevant aspects such as capital raise.
