Andrea spent 15 years working for MedTech and Biotech in several commercial roles across EUA, Latin America and EMEA. Most recently, she worked for Medtronic EMEA where she led the Cardiac Diagnostics business.
Livea Barbosa
Associate Director External & Translational Innovation at Johnson & JohnsonWhat is your role as a mentor at The Ganesha Lab?Lívea has deep understanding of consumer needs and main players in emerging and developed markets, helping our entrepreneurs in the process of transforming their science into good business. She has more than 13 years of experience at Johnson&Johnson Consumer Health, working with product development, technology platforms, project management, and external partnerships with universities, suppliers and startups in the area of consumer personal care.
Erin Bryan
Patent Attorney at Morse Life Sciences Intellectual Property Law FirmWhat is your role as a mentor at The Ganesha Lab?Erin works with our entrepreneurs as MORSE representing, with the main goal of finding the correct IP Strategy studying each case, to give them the best support and to provide guidelines to our companies through the challenges of their future growth. handles a broad range of intellectual property issues in the life sciences. Erin currently works with a variety of clients including universities, research organizations, and start-ups in the chemical, pharmaceutical, and biotechnology areas. She has extensive experience in the preparation and prosecution of both U.S. and foreign patent applications, as well as in researching and analyzing legal and technical issues, in drafting opinions, and in preparing reexamination requests. Erin is also proficient in assisting with various phases of IP litigation and counseling, including patent.

Claudio Castro
General Manager at ITF-LabomedWhat is your role as a mentor at The Ganesha Lab?With 20 years of experience leading international pharmaceutical companies, both in Chile and abroad, Claudio is part of the financial due diligence committee, in which the financial screening of each startup is carried out in order to define their gaps and establish the next steps to work on them together. Claudio supports entrepreneurs in finance area providing them tools to understand and manage their financial situation, cash flow planning and business plan preparation. Training and leadership of teams and companies which have been assuming new challenges as a result of growth or crisis due to restructuring is part of his experience.

She is responsible for coaching them to produce a winning pitch and storytelling in the final competition. Her frequent work with the BBC Science Unit means that she is able to help them make their proposals clear and appealing to a wider audience of possible investors and future clients.
